The Vanguard Wet/Dry Trickle Filter was designed to eliminate most of the drawbacks of undergravel filters. Vanguard trickle filters include the unique Bio Aire metered drip plate which optimize the water flow rate as well as improving the aeration of the water. The Vanguard Wet/Dry Trickle Filter is equipped with a dry trickle chamber for biological media and two additional wet chambers for carbon, resins, or heaters .
