Cat Training Rewards

Cat training rewards can come in all shapes, sizes, colors, textures, sounds and tastes. ImageAnd believe me, your kitty will love to be trained and she won’t even know she is being trained. It is a proven fact that rewarding your kitty positively with treats, sounds and other things to the liking, is the best way to go when training your cat or kitten.

I mean, have you ever considered implementing cat training rewards for good behavior as opposed to yelling at your kitty for their bad deeds? Imagine the dramatic difference there would be in your cat and the way the act on a daily basis. A cat’s psyche is a very peculiar thing. Instead of learning from the spray of water or the loud yelling, the cat associates you as a negative instead of the behavior they performed. You don’t want your cat to become fearful or mistrusting of you, do you? No, you do not.

Some common examples of cat training rewards are snacks, tuna, wet food, puffs, popcorn, cat nip, toys or affection. Food and love are two things that cats will almost always relate with. In fact, the best way to anyone or anything’s heart is through their stomach. If a good deed is performed, or a trick is followed through then you should immediately reward the cat with one of the above. If you wait too long, you may hinder their understanding or correlation between the two acts. Timing is the key!

If your cat performs a great deed, act or a trick, then food is not always handy as cat training rewards. Clickers have often been used to reinforce the positive behaviors. ImageIn fact, many animals, including fish can be clicker trained. You can buy little plastic clickers at your pet store or online. In order to do this, you need to first train your cats with edible treats. Then gradually, you can implement the clicks and then entirely switch over to clicks.

Cat training rewards are the absolute best way to get your cat to stop meowing, use their litter box, sit, jump, fetch, stay and even walk with you on a leash. Whichever method you choose with cat training, the best route you could possible take is the positive reinforce route. Cat training rewards will not only reward your cat, but you as well in the long run, so have a good time bonding with your precious kitty.
