Veterinary Medicine Canine - Health
1.
Inoculations:
You have to be very methodical
and provide your
dog with all the inoculations it would need. Inoculations will protect the
dog from getting diseases in the future. One would require inoculating a dog for
rabies, canine parvovirus, canine distemper and for
parasites.
2.
Vet Visits:
If there is any temporary
condition like fleas or if the canine develops some medical problems, then a vet
visit will help. The vet will give
medicine to treat the dog. Be sure to visit the vet at the first
indication of any disease and do not wait for it to aggravate.
3.
Grooming:
Generally, dog
grooming must be done as naturally as possible, avoiding even excessive
use of soaps and shampoos. Some alkaline products can create allergies in the
dog, which will need medication.
4.
Pet Proofing Your Home:
You must be capable yourself to
proof your home from the dog by keeping fragile and vulnerable things out of
its reach. Medicines won't help here.
5.
Environment:
The vet can tell you what kind of
habitat your dog would prefer, but there is no medicine to make it change its
habitat or environment.
6.
Exercise:
Exercising a dog has nothing to
do with the medicine it gets. However, after some strong medicines, the vet may
tell you to lay off exercising your dog for a while.
Veterinary Medicine Canine - Food
1.
Type:
Dogs eat different types of food
which may contain several fleshes. Be sure to buy
food that is human grade, or with labeled byproducts. Any food
poisoning in the dog, which will be indicated by diarrhea, must be promptly
given vet attention.
2.
Variety or Always the Same:
Sometimes changing the kind of
food also makes a problem in the dog's
digestive system. The vet will need to detox the dog and hence, there
is need for a quick visit.
3.
Bowls -- Fancy or Plain:
You can feed your dog in any bowl
of its preference.
4.
Treats:
If you have given a
treat and that creates some problem in the dog, then it requires
urgent enemas. Bring it to the vet.
Veterinary Medicine Canine - Temperament
1.
Pet Temperament:
There are some calming agents and
tranquilizers like Acepromazine which helps to soothe canine nerves. However,
these medicines should be given only under the prescription of the vet.
2.
Pet Socialization:
You must socialize the dog often
by allowing it to mingle with other dogs; provided it does not fight.
This will help to keep it
healthier.
3.
Playing With Your Pet:
You must take time out and try to
play different kinds of games with the dog. This will give it a healthy
constitution, which will be more fortified against diseases.
4.
Behavior Problems:
Sometimes behavior problems like
hyperactivity or extreme lethargy are symptoms of diseases. These can be
overcome by the right medicines.
5.
Training:
Your dog must be
trained from its puppy hood itself. Teach it to be housebroken, to
obey commands, and how to do general tricks to help maintain a healthy body.
Veterinary Medicine Canine - Supplies
