Read About Bichon Frise Puppies

Bichon Frise puppies are just tiny puffballs. This breed of dog simply loves to have human contact, and according to dog breeders and owners, these dogs make one of the best house dogs ever. ImageThey have a self-assured, happy temperament that makes them extremely easy to live with. These dogs love to be loved, and they are really easy to train. They respond well to their owner or trainer, making the training process quick and easy for both the dog and the trainer. They are very sociable dogs, and are happiest when they are with a family that takes them everywhere. While they can be left at home alone for brief periods of time, they prefer to be taken with the family, and they love to travel, as they are extremely sociable with other people and other dogs. While obedience training is quite easy, there are some breeders that say that these dogs can be difficult to housebreak when they first enter a new home. These dogs also make great watchdogs, believe it or not.

Bichon Frise puppies are actually a cross between a Barbet Water Spaniel and a Poodle. In the early eighteen hundreds, this dog breed was used as a circus performer, but in recent years they are simply being trained as champion dogs and show dogs. The Bichon Frise puppy is simply a white puffball of a dog. The fur of this dog is tiny curls that cover a thick undercoat of fur. This is one of the rare hypo-allergenic dogs that can be found today. ImageThe fact that this is a hypo-allergenic dog makes the dog even more sought after by homeowners, particularly these that are allergic to long haired dogs. Some breeders and owners have clipped the hair of these tiny puppies so they resemble a poodle even more. The facial features are not extreme. Although the dogs' noses are not pointed, the dogs are known for their sharp teeth, which have been compared to a pair of scissors.

Grooming takes up a great deal of time for the breeder or owner of Bichon Frise puppies. Grooming of the fur must be done daily or weekly. These dogs should be given a bath once a month, without an exception. It is recommended that these dogs be professionally groomed every four to five weeks, because they are difficult to groom. It is advised that you not attempt to do any serious dog grooming yourself, but instead you take your little Bichon puppy to someone who knows exactly what he/she is doing. In order to groom these dogs, you cannot simply use a firm brush, but instead you will need to use a set of good electric clippers to trim the hair, because it will become matted and will appear to very dirty. Once you have clipped the dog, you may use scissors on the rest of the fur. The Bichon Frise puppies rarely shed, which makes them great to have around the house.
