Plush dog beds offer your dog luxurious comfort, so that maybe he'll learn to stay off of your comfortable furniture and beds.
Things to consider:
Pets that like to chew, showing that you care, and changing a couch dog's behavior.
No Chewing Allowed - Plush dog beds and plush dog toys are two completely different things -- and the never the 'twain shall meet. This may sound obvious, but it might not be clear in your mind as you watch your teething puppy gnaw on her plush puppy bed all cute and innocent. If your dog (of any age) succumbs to the habit of chewing on his plush dog bed, you will want to break him of that habit immediately. If not, you will be buying a lot more dog beds in your time than you ever planned on purchasing.
A Nice Gesture - Trading up your dog's belongings to ones more luxurious and pleasurable may be just the way keep her from getting jealous when bringing home a new baby or pet. For example, trade in her flat and flimsy mat for a plush dog bed.
Get Off of the Furniture - If your dog is constantly hogging the furniture, if you are always finding him sprawled in your bed just when you are planning to be there, he may be trying to tell you something. It could be his bed is too thin or hard. To get him to stay off your plush and comfortable furniture, try getting him a dog bed that is at least as plush.
