Active dogs need fashionable clothing that protect them from harsh weather and dangerous objects.
Things to consider:
Snow Clothes – Active snow trekking dogs might greatly appreciate dog clothes and costumes that keep their paws warm and dry. A fleece–lined nylon vest might be the perfect option for smaller dogs in the winter months and for active dogs out on the trail.
Protection from Run-Ins – Dog clothes and costumes built for the active dog will go a long way in protecting them from run–ins with hard, sharp, and dangerous objects, such as foxtails, burdocks, burrs, and bushes covered in thorns or brambles.
Try Them On – You should make sure all dog clothes and costumes that you buy for your dog fit snugly but not tightly. While your outfitted dog definitely needs her full range of motion (especially around the legs), and you certainly don´t want to cut off her circulation, dog clothes and costumes that fit too loose are liable to slip off, and can cause chaffing, blisters, or even cause the dog to get tripped up in her outfit.
