Essential Horse Trailering Supplies

There are a few essential horse trailering supplies that can make the life of any horse owner much more pleasant.

· A good quality horse trailer · A tire gauge for regular checks of the tire pressure · A chain to add to the security of your towing mechanism · A well-stocked and often checked and replenished equine first aid kit · A feed bag for holding hay · A watering apparatus of some kind · A tack storage box · Extra ties and tethers for any situation (using those with quick-release mechanisms offer extra safety) · Shipping wraps or boots (also called trailering boots or trailering wraps) to prevent lower leg injury · A travel halter (for your horse’s comfort) · A head bumper to prevent head injury · A tie that is long enough to give your horse room to move his neck.
