You may also choose to use an herbicide if your usual manual method of pond weed control is not working. The same rules apply when using herbicides on the outside of your pond as when you use herbicides on the inside. It is crucial that you monitor your weed control problem consistently year round. If you do not attempt to do this, then you are only feeding the irritating weeds and eventually making your small weed problem grow into a huge weed problem.
