Natural carbonate salt buffer creates water conditions similar to those found in Africas Lake Tanganyika Essential water conditioner for aquariums housing Tanganyika cichlids. Formulated to help your African cichlid aquarium achieve and maintain a pH between 9.0 - 9.4, depending on usage Tanganyika Buffer is a blend of carbonate salts designed to enhance the freshwater aquarium environment of Tanganyikan cichlids. Safely conditions water to increase alkalinity, buffer capacity, and pH of your African cichlid tank. Specifically formulated additive helps aquariums achieve and maintain a pH of 9.09.4, ideal for those housing Tanganyika cichlids. Just 250 grams treats approximately 800-1,600 gallons of water.For optimum replication of the natural Tanganyikan environment, use with Cichlid Lake Salt.Directions: Use 5 g (1 level teaspoon) for each 4080 L (10 to 20 gallons) of water each day until desired pH is attained and maintained. Thereafter, use as required to maintain pH, usually no more than once every two to three weeks. Hints: It is best to dissolve the buffer in freshwater before use. Recommended for use when setting up an aquarium or making water changes (preferably after the addition of Seachems Cichlid Lake Salt) and between water changes as needed to maintain pH. Remember, Seachems Tanganyika Buffer is formulated to maintain a pH between 9.0 and 9.4, depending on the amount used.
