Hammers and sledgehammers make the big jobs much easier, as long as you are armed with the right information.
Things to consider:
Avoid Hammer Damage – If you have a tough hammering job, you need the right tool to complete your task. A drilling hammer is the right tool to use when driving heavy chisels, punches, drilling bits, and hardened nails.
Safety First – Think in terms of safety when you start a project with a hammer, and you'll keep from damaging your work or yourself. You should think of a drilling hammer as a lightweight sledgehammer. Grip your hammer firmly by the handle when ready to strike. Keep your wrist straight and use your forearm to lift and drop the tool. Let the weight of the hammer do the work, rather than pounding it with your full strength.
Concrete Breaker –How do you take those old, worn out fence posts out of the ground? You will need to dig around the base of the fence post to expose the concrete. Then, use a sledgehammer to chip the concrete away. You can then use those small pieces to use as edging. They make great borders that creatively separate your lawn from your gardens.
