Overview
Higher cumulative pore volume per liter than the standard biological media used in most canister filters. bacterial colonization will be evidenced by a brownish film on the rings. this film should not be wiped or washed off.

Remove ceramic rings from plastic bag and rinse thoroughly to remove any dust. place ceramic rings in the last (top) compartment of the filter. rings will become colonized with bacteria within several weeks.
