Not only does this pad feature a center layer of open-cell Ultra-Foam sandwiched between two layers of deep pile Kodel "Absorber" fleece, but the Chinook™ goes even farther by offering an extra 1" thick, built up in the front 10", and a cutback area over the withers. The extra built up will redistribute the rider’s weight more evenly over your horse’s back by shifting the rider’s weight off of your horse’s shoulders. By reducing the rider’s weight on the horse’s shoulders, you will find that leads come more easily and your horse will experience fewer back and leg problems.
