Crates. A crate can be a great way to transport your cat to appointments or on long road trips. 
It’s also the best way to bring your cat along on a commercial flight as well. Crates can be metal wire or plastic, and are usually collapsible for easy storage and cleaning.
Temporary fences. If you have a kitten that needs to be confined to a limited space, a temporary fence might be the way to go. These usually consist of panels that snap together and can be customized for larger or smaller spaces. They’re a great way to play with kitty at the park without leaving her in the open and approachable by kids or other animals.
Fence accessories. These products usually consist of wire netting or plastic tubing and can keep larger cats confined in an area that already has a fence. Most cats can jump high and also use their claws to climb tall fences, but if you attach these products to the top of your fence, they will deter cats from climbing out. Some can even keep stray cats from climbing in.
Electric collars. These products are wireless and usually consist of a transmitter that defines your approved pet area. The collar will give a warning beep when the cat approaches the outer boundaries of the area, and then will offer a small static zap if he crosses the line. Many animal advocates argue that these products are inhumane, and say that other options are preferable.
