Angel fish and mouth fungus bacteria tend to go hand in hand because these fish are very susceptible to this particular disease.

The disease

There are a couple of surefire ways to determine if your angel fish is one of many fish suffering from angel fish and mouth fungus bacteria. For starters, your angel fish will have red streaks around its mouth. This means that the angel fish is carrying around a mouth bacteria.

Angel fish and mouth fungus bacteria should be dealt with right away. When you notice that your angel fish has the red streaks, get a flakey food that has some kind of anti-bacteria supplement in it and hope that your angel fish will eat it. If you can get the fish to a vet, you can have it injected with an anti-bacteria shot, which is a better way of curing this illness. Unfortunately if your angelfish has stopped eating, it probably will not recover from this bacterial infection.

Other diseases

Like angel fish and mouth fungus bacteria, angel fish with rotting fin should be treated.

One rather disgusting disease that can affect an angel fish is internal parasites. Because this ailment is an internal affliction, it can be difficult to tell if your fish is ill. However, if your fish is not eating, something’s up. If the fish doesn’t have the signs of angel fish and mouth fungus bacteria or signs of rotting fin but it’s not eating, it could have a parasite.

Internal parasites can be treated by heating the tank to about 95 degrees Fahrenheit for about a week. This will encourage the fish to eat and will increase the activity of its immune system, but if it does have a parasite, it should be taken to a vet. Parasites as well as angel fish and mouth fungus bacteria can warrant a quick trip to the vet.
