Tenessee Walkers are a popular breed. Originally bred as work horses, they are not necessarily one of the most popular choices for people looking for a good horse to ride for fun, but they can make good farm or show horses.

The American Saddlebred horse, similar to the Tennessee Walking Horse, is also a good choice. This horse has much in common with the Tennessee Walking Horse, and it is often used for show. They have a graceful and elegant look, with long flowing tails and an erect posture.

The Cleveland Bay horse hails from the United Kingdom, in spite of its domestic-sounding name. With its docile and gentle manner, the Cleveland Bay makes a good choice for riding, especially for children.

If you are looking for a good sporting horse, consider the Hunter. As the name implies, these horses were bred for the hunt. They are generally large and tall, with strong back and legs. They are often seen at horse sporting events and shows.

Mustang

Often recognized as the quintessential American horse, the Mustang generally possesses a wild nature. They are often found in sheltered, protected horse preserves throughout the United States, and generally are not considered a good choice for show or riding. Most Mustangs are now protected by local ordinances.
