  1. You supplement your diet with vitamins and/or minerals, but it doesn´t occur to you that your cat will benefit from these supplements too. The vitamin supplements will take a few weeks to start seeing the full effects, your cat will act more youthful and active.

  2. As each cat is different you can´t expect one nutritional cat food to fit every cats needs. Cats who are fighting illnesses, recuperating from surgery or who are taken medication may need higher amounts of nutrients. Studies have shown that higher amounts of vitamins can enhance your cat´s health.

There are two groups of minerals; bulk which includes calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, and trace minerals which include copper, iodine, iron, boron, chromium, manganese, selenium, sulfur, silicon, vanadium and zinc. You should give these supplemental minerals in balanced amounts, too much could be harmful and too little could be ineffective.

  4. There is a large variety of nutritional supplements available on the market today. Some are chewable flavored tablets, some are a paste, and some are in powdered form that you add to their food.
