The HockWrap may be used for treating subacute or chronic condition of the hock where increased blood flow and/or pain relief is required. The lateral aspect or outside the hock acupoints (sometimes called dermatones) are useful in treating conditions such as capped hock, bog spavin and bone spavin. The points are also reflex trigger points for hips, stifle, lumbar-sacral pain of lower back region. The medial aspect or inside of hock magnetic design contains acupoints (sometimes called dermatones) useful in treating conditions such as arthritic hock and stringhalt. Product Tips: Use the HockWrap before competition to warm up the area, and after competition to help counteract soreness. Norfields HockWrap should be left in place for eight to ten hours during the day. Always reassess your horse’s condition after a few days of use, then apply as needed or as recommended by your veterinarian. Gradually reduce time as the symptoms lessen and the condition improves. Care Instructions: In cold weather, store your magnetic pad at room temperature to achieve maximum flexibility. Should the strip become soiled, simply hand wash band with a mild soap with warm water solution. Do not immerse or soak magnets in water. Put in the sun or naturally air dry. Do not machine wash. Do not put in dryer. The Norfields HockWrap should not be used when the horse is being exercised or bathed. If worn during a workout, the horse could be injured further due to the tremendous buildup of heat in the area.
