Dog shampoos are different than the shampoos we use. They are specially formulated and will treat your dog's hair and skin like gold.
Things to consider: Problems from shampoo made for people, benefits of dry shampoos, how to clean her better.
Special Formulas - Shampoos for humans have a higher pH (level of acidity or alkalinity) and use stronger detergents than dog shampoos. To keep from causing your dog any problems with their skin or coat, never bathe them with people shampoos. Only use dog shampoos on your dog.
Sneaky Cleaning - If your dog really does not like taking baths, is scared to go into the water or is resistant to being lathered up with sudsy dog shampoos, there are other ways you can still make sure she gets the cleaning she needs. Try waterless, or dry shampoos, for example. There are also pre-moistened bathing cloths or pre-moistened towels that can be used for supplemental cleanings between baths (wet or dry).
Brush First - For a more efficient and effective bath with longer-lasting results, remove loose hair and loosen up dirt by brushing and dematting your dog (being sure to spray their coat damp with water before your do so) before sticking her in the tub and lathering her up with dog shampoos.
