Increased buffering capacity helps keep your pH steadier and prevents your fish from being subjected to dangerous pH swings. Since it contains no phosphate, it is safe for koi, goldfish, and other ornamental fish. Buffers between 7.2 and 8.2, but preferentially around 7.4-7.6. 2 L treats approximately 1,000 gallons.
