Make sure she’s eating enough of the right things to stay nourished and satisfied.
Regular grooming can help alleviate potential coat and skin problems. Take care of matted hair and dirty spots. Up-close grooming will also help you notice any kind of existing problems before they become worse.
Cats are clean creatures by nature. Don’t force her to take regular baths unless she gets into something especially dirty. Allow her to take care of her daily cleaning regimen herself. This also means she won’t be exposed to lots of
soap or detergents with potentially harmful chemicals or
perfumes.
If you spot any skin problems, like thinning hair, scabby patches, or raised bumps, notify your veterinarian immediately. 
Many skin conditions will go away on their own, or can be alleviated with a simple antibiotic. And some conditions are serious and will need medical treatment. It’s best to catch any condition as quickly as possible.
Some skin conditions, like
ringworm, are even contagious and can be contracted by humans. Ringworm is characterized by hair loss, scaliness, or scabbiness. While you may not see it on the skin right away, you might notice your cat biting or scratching a spot on her body too often. Check it out and get it taken care of so you don’t experience further problems.
