An angle fish is a beautiful multi-colored tropical fish that originated in South America. They can grow to be as long as six inches, though they tend to be a little smaller when kept in captivity. Angel fish are good aquarium fish and respond well to clean, healthy environments. If you can see even the slightest red line extending from its mouth, it might have this bacterial infection.
Angel can also get parasites that live on the inside of their body and feed off of their tissue. This angel fish sick problem can cause the fish to stop eating and can spread to other fish rather quickly because the parasite will divide and then look for other food sources.
How do I keep them from getting sick?
Fist of all, keep you fish aquarium very clean. You greatly decrease the chance of your fish getting angel fish sick if you provide them with a clean tank. You should have three filtration systems to keep the tank clean.
The next thing you need to do is remove the sick angel fish from the tank the moment the fish shows sign of illness. You do not want to get your other angel fish sick. After you remove the sick fish, you should clean the tank so the bacteria that’s affecting the sick fish doesn’t bother the other fish in the aquarium.
If you do not know how to heal your sick angel fish, call your vet and get some help or you may end up losing your fish.
