A bird carrier, or travel cage, is important to have for traveling, trips to the vet, or in case of an emergency.
Things to Consider:
Bird´s Size – A bird carrier should be large enough for your bird to move around in, but not large enough for him to fly.
Bird´s Comfort – You can place a soft towel and some toys in the carrier to make your bird feel more comfortable.
Gradual Use – You may want to consider "breaking in" the carrier before you actually need to use it by placing your bird in the carrier for a few minutes and letting him get used to being inside. In addition, placing him inside without actually taking him anywhere will prevent him from equating the bird carrier with unpleasant trips, thus making it easier for you to get him inside the carrier.
