Start in your own backyard or even in the house. After he has them down pat, take him to the park or around the neighborhood and give them a try. This way you are sure that he is capable in any situation.

When dog trick training, it is important to pace yourself. Each trick needs to be introduced one at a time. Try and work on each particular trick for about a week before you move on to the next one. This will ensure the dog has a firm grasp on each one. You don’t want to overwhelm him, especially if he is a puppy. Also, each dog will learn at a different rate, so it may take less time and it may take longer. But, eventually you will see results.
